TERME PRÉFÉRENTIEL

Turing test

DÉFINITION(S)

  • test designed by Alan Turing in 1950, based on an imitation game: the machine must succeed in pretending to be a human interacting with it. The Turing test is often presented as the empirical test of "artificial intelligence", but although a machine must demonstrate a certain number of abilities in order to pass this test, it is far from testing all these abilities, and it is possible to pass this test with "mechanical" methods, far from what is expected of an "intelligent" machine.
