NOTE(S) D'APPLICATION
- Ownership refers to the legal entity that has ownership of the names of the publisher, the journal(s) or platform(s), and any financial or physical assets, and governance/leadership refers to the ability to make crucial decisions, from editorial decisions, decisions over author guidelines and governance structure of the editorial teams and boards, and decisions over contracts with third party service providers/suppliers. It could be discussed whether scholar-led refers to individual members as opposed to institutions - or not; and also, whether scholar can also be someone outside the academic community (in which case, community-led might be an appropriate term to use). In this context, community can include practitioners, non-academic experts and the subjects of research who contribute to, use and/or put into practice the results of scholarly and scientific results.
