scientific integrity

DEFINITION(S)

  • Set of principles and practices that ensure researchers conduct their work ethically and with methodological rigour, fostering trust and confidence in the research process and its outcomes.
  • The set of rules and values that must govern research activities in order to ensure their honesty and scientific rigour. Its rules and values cannot be fixed; on the contrary, they must be subject to constant reflexivity and evolve in the light of knowledge and technological progress. (French National Research Agency.
