SCOPE NOTE(S)

  • A subject repository can have a ‘mere’ archival or republishing function, but can also be home to works or data that are shared/published there first, only or in its earliest form. Topical preprint or data archives can be seen as a type of subject repositories. A subject repository must have the ‘full text’ files for at least some of the records, so not be restricted to metadata. See also: Institutional repository
